I graduated from UAB with a BA in English and a Master's degree in Special
Education. I also received my administration certification from UAB. I came to Cleveland in 1987 to teach at the Multi-Needs Center. I am beginning my 6th year as Principal of Cleveland High School. My husband, Philip, and I have two daughters. Jennifer graduated from Cleveland in 2000 and is married to Blake Helms who also graduated from C.H.S. Blake works for Brasfield-Gorrie Construction. Jennifer is a nurse at St. Vincent's East. They have one daughter named Arleigh Elizabeth. Jodi graduated form C.H.S. in 2002 and teaches 5th grade at Susan Moore Elementary. She is married to Cullman police officer, Jeremy Hudson. They also have one daughter named Kylie Grace. We all live on our family farm outside of Blountsville. We have a wide array of pets who always seem to be at my house. I guess they enjoy visiting their granny! In my spare time my favorite activity is playing with my grandchildren. I also love to read, watch sports (especially Alabama Football), shop and go to craft fairs. I believe Cleveland is the best school in the state. We have a terrific student body and an awesome faculty. Cleveland is still small enough to know everyone in the school, yet, big enough to offer lots of activities. Find an activity and get involved. I hope you love Cleveland as much as I do! I
